💫 Introducing Queens for Dignity

For the first time, the TiBaKalanga stage becomes more than a place of recognition — it becomes a platform for real change.

The Queens for Dignity campaign is a new empowerment initiative by the TG Silundika Cultural Community Centre (TGSCCC). It transforms each crowned Queen and Princess into a community ambassador, helping to uplift other young women across the region.

Through this programme, village queens will support workshops held at the Centre, teaching girls and women how to make reusable sanitary pads — a simple, sustainable way to promote health, dignity, and confidence.

The goal is to show that wearing the crown is not the end of the journey — it’s the beginning of leadership, service, and purpose.

“A crown is not just something you wear — it’s something you live. Be the kind of Queen who lifts others up with her example and her heart.”Nkosi Nkomo, Operational Lead, TGSCCC

🌺 A Celebration of Culture, Confidence & Community

The Miss TiBaKalanga Village Competitions bring together beauty, tradition, and leadership. Each contestant showcases her pride in Kalanga heritage through song, dance, storytelling, and talent — but this year, the journey goes even deeper.

Alongside the celebration, TGSCCC introduces a new initiative designed to give the Miss TiBaKalanga pageant lasting community impact.

VENUE

The Village Beauty Pageant – The Road to Miss TibaKalanga unfolds once a year at the heartwarming TG Silundika Cultural Community Centre. Nestled in Ward 6, Bulilima District, southwestern Zimbabwe, this special place occupies the former homestead of the late TG Silundika, a beloved national liberation hero. Guided by the heartfelt vision of his surviving children, the Centre aspires to establish a shining example of cultural heritage sustainability in the vibrant tapestry of southern Africa.

This year’s festival was especially meaningful as it marked the 10th anniversary of the Miss TiBaKalanga Pageant, an initiative that continues to uplift and celebrate the strength, beauty, and intelligence of young Kalanga women.

We are proud to announce the Queen of Miss TiBaKalanga 2025:
👑 Sifiso Candice Ngwenya, from Goho village

Alongside her stood two remarkable young women, making up this year’s royal court:

👸 1st Princess: Nicleta Nkomo
