Empowering Young Women, One Step at a Time
On Sunday, 17 August 2025, we hosted a small but powerful Sanitary Wear Workshop at the TG Silundika Cultural Community Centre.
While only a handful of participants could attend, including Miss TiBaKalanga 2025 and her 2nd Princess, the impact was real — and meaningful.
Together, we learned how to make reusable sanitary pads and panty liners using low-cost, sustainable materials. But more importantly, we opened up space for honest conversations, shared experiences, and planted the seed for something bigger.
💡 The highlight?
-
Teach girls how to make reusable sanitary wear
-
Collect donations from sponsors and well-wishers
-
Distribute pads to schools and communities
-
Offer entrepreneurship skills to empower young women
This workshop is just the beginning — and we’re proud that it’s being led by the very queens who wear their crowns with purpose.
A heartfelt thank you to all who helped prepare the food, facilitate the training, and support this initiative behind the scenes.
Meals shared included: popcorn, homemade bread, cabbage stew, and a beautiful free-range chicken (road runner) — cooked with love, of course.
📍 Next Steps:
👑 A photoshoot for Miss TiBaKalanga 2025 is planned this month in Bulawayo
🏫 She’ll also begin school outreach, starting with Phakama High School
This journey is just beginning. 💫
We’re grateful to all our supporters, family, and donors who continue to believe in community-led change.
