Dear Supporters, Donors, Volunteers, and Friends,

As we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the New Year, we reflect on a year filled with cultural celebration, community empowerment, and shared achievements at the TG Silundika Cultural Community Centre (TGSCCC). Your unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our success, and we extend our deepest gratitude to each of you.

Highlights of 2024:

  • TiBaKalanga Festival 2024: In June, we hosted a grand celebration of Kalanga culture, featuring events like the 10K Run and the Miss TiBaKalanga Beauty Pageant. The festival drew crowds from across the district, showcasing the vibrancy of our heritage.
  • Miss TiBaKalanga 2024’s Academic Pursuit: Our 2024 pageant winner, Sikhanyisile Ndlovu, embarked on an academic journey to Odisha, India, under the Presidential Scholarship. Her achievement stands as a testament to the empowerment initiatives we champion.
  • Community Engagements: In November, the Jutshume Homestead hosted the TGSCCC Village Competition, bringing together local villagers for a weekend of cultural activities and empowerment workshops. Such events have strengthened community bonds and fostered a spirit of unity.
  • Strategic Partnerships: We announced a partnership with Black Umfolosi, a renowned Imbube singing and traditional dance group, to further promote the arts and community development.

These milestones were made possible by your generous contributions, volunteerism, and steadfast belief in our mission to preserve and promote Kalanga cultural heritage.

As we step into 2025, we are excited to continue our journey with renewed vigor. Our plans include:

  • Expanding Cultural Programs: Introducing new workshops and events to engage more community members and celebrate our rich heritage.
  • Enhancing Educational Opportunities: Building on the success of our empowerment workshops to provide more resources for personal and professional development.
  • Strengthening Community Partnerships: Collaborating with local and international organizations to bring diverse experiences and opportunities to our community.

We invite you to stay connected with us through our social networks and our website where we share updates, stories, and upcoming events.

Once again, thank you for being an integral part of our community. Your support inspires us to strive for excellence in cultural heritage sustainability and community development.

Wishing you a prosperous and fulfilling New Year.

Warm regards,

Tina Nkobi & Felix Silundika
