On July 10th, the TGSCCC delegation, including the 2024 Queen of TiBaKalanga Beauty Pageant winner, Ms. Sikhanyisile Ndlovu, attended the installation ceremony of Chief Hikwa in Dombodema Village. The event was a grand occasion, drawing hundreds of attendees including local residents, government officials, and other well-wishers.

Representing the TGSCCC, the delegation comprised Ms. Irene Sibalo, a management committee member responsible for hospitality; Mr. Douglas Nleya, the point person for Kalanga cultural matters; Mr. Nkosi Nkomo, the models’ trainer; and Mr. Stanley Ncube, a technician and logistics team leader. They conveyed congratulatory messages from the cultural centre’s chairperson, Mr. Mfundo Tsambani, and presented gifts to the newly installed Chief Hikwa, given by Ms. Sikhanyisile Ndlovu.

Chief Hikwa, also known as Adelaide Tshuma, is notably the first female chief in the Bulilima District of Matabeleland South. She expressed deep gratitude for the delegation’s presence and pledged to visit the cultural centre soon.
